I had the super-low goal of pronouncing French loan words correctly, and reading Le Petit Prince out loud. Before this course, the only French phrase I knew was “omelette du fromage*” X-D

Two more days (a chapter quiz and final exam) and I'm done. Possibly the last language class I'll ever take at the university. I ran out of money/education award, for one thing... The award didn't even cover 4 credits, hahah, so everything else was out of pocket (building maintenance, campus beautification, etc).

I rented the textbook from Amazon, but was forced to shell out $80~ for the "lab" portion of the course. What’s wrong with good old CDs, people?? College tuition in the U.S. is unreasonably expensive =__= even compared to just a decade ago (which was when I graduated).

I need a “Does the PoC die” website. It kills my enjoyment when there’s an awesome PoC that I like, only to have them die =( =( =(

- Darwin in X-M:FC (thankfully 98% of fanfic have him alive)
- two black dudes in Once Upon a Time (from the few S2 eps that I watched). Tumblr made me think you-know-who is as constant a character as Mulan T__T

I’m okay with white sausagefests (see: Tolkien). Not okay with white sausagefest that’s a result of women and PoCs getting fridged (see: Teen Wolf S3).

I’ve seen people objecting to the portrayal of Jackson's birth parents v. adoptive parents, and post 2X06, I couldn’t agree more.

At first I thought Jackson either had 1) issues about not being wanted, and/or 2) early memories of his birth parents, but nooo. Both his birth parents are ( SPOILER ). His adoptive parents obviously care for him. Sure, they didn't seem to be aware of Jackson's drinking problem, but his dad could tell just from two words that something was wrong.

Jackson's "real" parents are Jackson's adoptive parents. Don't be speciesist, show! >=(

Under the mistaken belief that there will be lots of knotting* and/or Omega’verse fics, started mainlining Teen Wolf fanfic on AO3 on May 2012.

I was reluctant to watch Teen Wolf because I feared it would ruin my fic-reading experience. Thankfully that didn't happen. I watched whenever Stiles and/or Derek were onscreen, and read fic on my laptop when they weren't.

S2 did ruin my pack feels though =( Because I prefer Jackson** over Isaac as the w00bie. At least Isaac has curly blond hair ;_;
