mood: blah blah

“Once upon a time, there was a death god who religiously watched over a human princess—”

“The princess is a symbol. She is indispensable to him (And to me). He loves her (I love you, Misa).”

“He died for her (As I would die for you). That’s why his notebook belongs to her (Do you want to do this? Throw half your life away in exchange for dead eyes).”

“He (I) would have wanted her to live a happy life (Not a half life, never a half life).”

Story ended: Rem died years ago.

“I wouldn’t lie to you.”

Remix of [livejournal.com profile] lye_tea 's Fairytale Floss for [livejournal.com profile] remixthedrabble. I like how this one turned out; I basically lifted phrases from the original and changed the context. The original phrases refer to Light/Misa, Misa & Ryuuk etc., but I turned it around, changed the speaker and the story =3

This is...sort of technically pre-femmeslash, I guess?
In Death Note, after the epic Kira/L awesomeness, the OMGSoObvious pairing is Rem/Misa.

Super-quick explanation about the Death Note drabble:
1. The speaker of the piece is Rem, a death god.
2. She is talking about another death god who died because he willfully preserved Misa's life when it was Misa's destiny to die.
3. Misa exchanged half of her remaining life to "exchange eyes" with Rem. Now she can see people's full names and their life expectancy.
4. In turn, Rem dies because she willfully preserves Misa's life.

Just got my [livejournal.com profile] remixthedrabble assignment (Four remixes, here I come!). So am finally getting around to x-posting some drabbles. And updating my fic masterlist...the next few days.

And hi, I'm back. *waves*
