I'm gearing myself up to write a Merlin reincarnation* fic. Well, the first three sentences, at any rate.
And, because I have a Fixation With The Age of Fifteen**, Merlin's 15 and Arthur's 18.

* I'm undecided on whether reincarnation fic = AU or not, but I'm writing it anyway.
** I lived in Interesting Times when I was 15. I recognize that other people don't necessarily have their Interesting Times coincide with their 15th year =P

Here are my answers for the fandoms sophinisba gave me:

[ Harry Potter ]

HP1: My first HP fanfic was Cinnamon's Beautiful World at FictionAlley (I read it back on Jan '05). At first I was "Harry/Draco? Why Draco?"--not because I was unfamiliar with slash, but because I didn't see how canon!Draco could get together with canon!Harry--but I quickly, irrevokably, fell in love with Draco.
I created lilian_cho when I had an idea for an HP fanfic (IMR4MR, now a frozen-in-time WIP).

HP2: I'm trying to "divorce" myself from HP, actually. At least over at DW.
But I won't completely move on while I still have a vested interest in slytherin100 (and hpgen100) =)
Modding a drabble community doesn't take that much effort, and I love reading what members come up with when they are inspired by my prompts (and benebu's) =)

When I leave, I like having my Itty Bitty recs as a legacy. Will x-post it at my DW, IJ and Web site on that day =3

HP3: Book: Half-Blood Prince, hands down.
Movie: I expect HBP too ;-) For now I like PoA best for the v. shallow reason that I love Draco's haircut in that one X-D Mmm, and GoF second for the Draco-in-a-tree scene.

HP4: Heh. I've participated in this fandom in so many different ways except modding a fic fest community (and creating fanvids . and creating manips ICK ICK). I comment, drabble, write fic, post WIPs, prompts, plotbunnies, recs, meta, links round-up, polls...sketch a few fanarts, make icons, even seriously contemplate making a podfic at one time.
I'm also a busybody that plug all sorts of comm.s and fests.

Took over slytherin100 back in Jan '07 because _Slytherins_, hello? IIRC there were around 80 members at that time. The members have doubled ever since =)
And, since I can't leave well enough alone, I offered to co-mod hpgen100> because gen! Drabbles! I haven't been so good at pimping the comm. around though.

HP5: Goodness. Even if I say no, people are going to trickle in anyway.

I don't think HP fandom will die anytime soon, because the next generation = free license for new fanfic writers to create what essentially are OCs. So you're just borrowing JKR's universe and character names/family background. Any kind of characterization = A-OK. As I said, fun.


[ Good Omens ]

GO1: I picked up Good Omens because I wanted to read sam_storyteller's GO fanfics ^^;;
I'm not exactly in GO fandom; I just click on links of GO fics whenever I see them. Footnote fics = <3

In my random spelunking of GO fandom, I found that daegaer writes the closest to my vision of Aziraphale and Crowley. More friendship and less slash =)
This was also when I realized that I see AziCrow as more like House & Wilson ^^;; They're closer than brothers, but I don't necessarily see them as romantically/sexually linked.

GO2: As I'm never properly in the fandom, I'll still read GO fics that I run across ;-) And stalk daegaer from time to time.

GO3: The tree-growing scene made me tear up. I'm a sucker for tree-growing scenes (Totoro).
Other than that...I like Crowley better than Aziraphale. I feel Remus & Sirius are pale shadows compared to Aziraphale & Crowley =P

GO4: I've only written a few measly GO drabbles. Mostly when my F-list prompts me to. The GO drabble that I'm least ashamed of is "Reading Omens in Harry Potter".

I'm always on stalker/lurker mode everywhere else, sorry! (I've pimped daegaer's fics several times but never actually left a comment because I'm creepy-stalkery that way >_>)

GO5: What I really, really want? A GO drabble community. Fitting footnotes into a 100-word constraint is difficult, but doable! I'd probably write and comment more that way ^^;;


[ Merlin ]

M1: I watched the first few seasons of Smallville because of mahaliem's hilarious SV fics. I first heard of Merlin from mahaliem's fic too.
My first impression at seeing merlinxarthur's old banner? Merlin = cheekbones + unfortunate ears. Arthur = inbred & a tad pointy (In retrospect I should've seen where this was going).

Honestly, the final straw that made me watch Merlin was that metal bunny mask on Gaius' table. It's just so random and perfect, you know? Okay I was also probably bored at the time.

What made me finally write in Merlin fandom was merlin100's Original 50 drabble challenge. (I've written snippets before that, but not actually finish anything)

M2: I hope BBC Merlin will have more seasons than Smallville >=D
So I'm hoping for another seven years, at least ;-)

M3: Still haven't watched 01X13, but it'll have to be 01X10: Moment of Truth <333

M4: Eh, I churn out stuff, but I don't work that hard on getting it read by a wider audience. That is, I'm mostly happily making my home at merlin100 and merlin_flashfic for now =)
Will probably do the whole wider audience thing when I've written longer fics.

Also, as ever, I'm a prolific prompter and plotbunny-flinger =P

I hope my "The Ones Where..." recs will some day be like my Itty Bitty recs (HP). Which reminds me, I haven't posted a new one in a while.

M5: ...sure, I guess. But for the love of Colin Morgan, Merlin/Arthur is NOT like Harry/Draco, okay? *stabs* If anything, it's more like Remus/Sirius =P
